Can I Prop up my Baby’s Bottle if i’m Busy?

It is important to feed a baby with our own hands for several reasons. First, you want your child to be safe taking from the bottle. For example, if the baby chokes, you are right there to respond.

Second, we want you to be clued into your baby’s signals of hunger and satiety. When your baby starts to pull back from the bottle to signal they are done, you should be able to see that signal.

Third, your baby should be able to complete a meal and then be done with the bottle, rather than develop the habit of using a milk bottle as a pacifier. It’s unhealthy for the teeth as your baby becomes a toddler.
