Heavy Periods

Getting clots while you are on your period might be a sign that your period flow is classified as "heavy" – even though they only last a few days. Sometimes a "heavy" flow can last one or two days in a period, with the remaining days showing a "medium" or "light" flow.

When buying sanitary products - pads or tampons - look out for the teardrop label, which indicates whether products are suitable for a light, medium or heavy flow.
