Spotting or Cramping

Spotting or Cramping

A fertilised egg implanting in the lining of the uterus can cause one of the earliest signs of pregnancy - spotting and/or cramping. It's known as implantation bleeding and occurs anywhere from 6 to 12 days after the egg is fertilized. The cramps resemble menstrual cramps, so you may mistake them and the bleeding for the start of your period.
