Hair Loss Caused by PCOS
By Nabta Team
Alopecia, or the medical term for hair loss, can be caused by a number of diseases that affect women. PCOS can cause hair loss due to the increased androgen activity associated with this syndrome. Fortunately, hair loss caused by PCOS is reversible as the shafts of hair are affected rather than the hair follicles. So when the androgen excess associated with PCOS is treated, hair loss can be partially or completely reversed.
