Dietary Habits With Cancer

Cancer is a chronic disease – making certain lifestyle changes as you cope with life after cancer treatment is very useful in improving your overall quality of life. One of these changes pertain to the diet that you follow. While it isn’t necessary to follow a diet, it is useful to check a few boxes off with the food that you consume:


i.               Try getting a food from all the food groups in one day – high fibre breads, fruits and vegetables, and lean protein

ii.              Reduce the intake of fat and limit yourself ton 3-4 servings of red meat in a week

iii.            Attempt buying at least one new fruit, vegetable, or high fibre item when you’re at the grocery store.
