Are you Prone to Getting Breast Cancer ?
By Nabta Team
While women in your 20s and 30s may feel that they’re not at the risk of developing cancer due to their age, breast cancer can and does occur in young women as well! One in 20 breast cancer patients is someone who is younger than 40 years old. The risk is even higher in women who have a history of being exposed to radiation (due to their occupation), have a female first degree relative who was diagnosed with cancer, or carry defects in genes which make them more susceptible to develop breast cancer. In addition, the dense breast tissue in young women makes it tougher to find lesions in them. So, don’t ignore the warning signs – a lump in your breast, or unusual discharge from your nipples, make sure to get checked out by a doctor!
