Breast Cancer Self Examination Part 1 : in the Shower
By Nabta Team
Conducting a self-exam in the shower is one half of the “feel your breast” part of the breast self-exam. For this exam you must use the pads of your fingers and not your palm. You have more sensory points on your fingers than you have on your palm – making your fingers a more accurate measure than your palm.
Using your fingers, move in a circular manner around your breast tissue, from outside (armpit and under the armpit) to the centre, looking for any lumps, thickening of tissue, or hard knot.
