Ramadan fasting is shown to be safe in persons with hypertension – however, care has to be taken with regard to taking the medication for high blood pressure. The ones who take their medication once a day do not face any issues with the change in schedule. However, individuals on twice-a-day formulation might struggle with the timing: these can be taken in the morning before Sehr and just after breaking fast in the evening.
