Fertility and Anti mÜLlerian Hormone Levels
By Nabta Team
A woman’s ovarian reserve refers to the ability of her ovaries to produce eggs capable of fertilizing and leading to a healthy and successful pregnancy. A woman’s ovarian reserve declines with age and is one of the reasons that age affects fertility in women. One method to measure ovarian reserve is to measure the levels of anti-müllerian hormone or AMH in a woman. In women who are aged 30-44 years old, higher levels of AMH was found to be associated with higher fertility. If you are planning to have a baby later than earlier, getting your AMH levels checked are good to learn more about your long-term fertility.
