Is it Normal for my Baby to get a Fever While Teething?
While the pediatric literature does not support the concept that babies who are teething normally get fevers, rashes, or diarrhea, each mother will get to know her infant’s teething patterns individually! In general, what we can say is that if your child has not previously had a problem when teething but now has a fever or illness, it would be remiss to simply blame teething without a good physical exam. So, it’s a good idea to make an appointment with your pediatrician to discuss the issue.
