Breastfeeding on Demand

By Nabta Team

Feeding on demand is a method of breastfeeding where the baby is fed on the basis of hunger cues that we explained here. During the growth spurts periods of the baby (occurs at 3 weeks, 6 weeks, and 12 weeks of age), he/she will suddenly need more milk than you’ve been producing. However, don’t lose hope! Your body will take 2-3 days to adjust to your babies’ needs but now is the time to push through and keep breastfeeding!
