Without Health Insurance:

If you require a C-section and do not have health insurance, you will be responsible for the cost of the procedure, which is an additional AED 12,000 on top of the perinatal care package price. On top of the fees for the C-section, there may be additional costs associated with the hospital stay, medications, and potential complications. 

With Health Insurance:

While having health insurance provides some financial protection, the coverage for C-sections can vary greatly depending on the specific policy. If your health insurance plan covers emergency C-sections, you’ll likely be responsible for a deductible, co-pays, and possibly coinsurance. However, if the C-section is deemed elective, many insurance plans will not cover the procedure, leaving you with an additional AED 12,000 to pay on top of the cost of the perinatal care package. It’s essential to carefully review your insurance policy to understand the coverage for C-sections and any potential exclusions or limitations.

Intrapartum care (labour, delivery and recovery) is provided by our partner, Fakeeh University Hospital. 

The intrapartum care included in our perinatal care packages covers a vaginal delivery not a Cesarean delivery (“C-Section”). For delivery by C-Section, whether an elective or medically necessary / emergency C-Section, an additional AED 12,000 will apply. Medically necessary C-Sections are usually covered by health insurance, although coverage may be capped at a certain amount.

Vaginal (“Normal”) Delivery – 2 Days

Package Inclusions:

• Birth suite room
• Initial dietician consultation
• Lab investigations (Mother & Baby) (Limit)
• Fetal monitoring (CTG)
• Rounding fees (Pediatrician)
• Nursery charges
• Konakion injection pediatric
• Hepatitis B and BCG vaccine
• Immunization administration
• Newborn screening
• Medications (Mother & Baby) (Limit)
• Consumables
• 1 follow-up consultation within 15 days after discharge (Mother & Baby)

Exclusions:

• Radiology investigations
• Blood transfusion, crossmatch
• Epidural anesthesia
• Any extra medication including anti-D shots for mother due to complications
• Additional stay
• Upgrade of room to VIP
• Circumcision and piercing
• In case of emergency CS, CS package will be considered
• Additional baby will be charged AED 4,000 (Twin)
• Hearing test for newborn

Cesarean (“C-Section”) Delivery – 3 Days

AED 12,000 on top of the standard Perinatal Care Packages.
