What can I do for my Child’s Eczema When I’ve Tried Everything?
The newest class of medications, called immune modulators, can be used in children over the age of 2 to control symptoms of moderate to severe eczema. These are steroid-free creams that are used to basically “calm down” the immune system. While these medications have potential side effects, they often work well for children who suffer from severe flares. Talk to your child’s doctor if your child continues to suffer from eczema despite steroids and emollients.
