What is the Best Bottle for a Breastfed Baby?

If you are a nursing mom and want to introduce a bottle to your baby, you are probably concerned that he or she will either not take the bottle, or may end up preferring the bottle over you. Both are stressful possibilities!

Many different types of bottles/nipples exist on the market, and really, there is no perfect one to choose. Try to pick one where the nipple shape resembles the breast, but be aware that your baby may not like the first one you pick — it may be trial and error. Whichever bottle you end up with, the key is to make sure you use a slower-flow nipple and practice paced bottle feeding so you make the feed as much like breastfeeding as possible.
