Deficiency in Vitamin D and obesity are common health issues. However, recent studies show that in obese individuals, those with a larger waistline have even more lower levels of Vitamin D as compared to those obese people who do not have belly fat. The deficiency can manifest as muscle weakness, bone pain, hair loss, and fatigue. Hence, obese women with a larger waistline should have their Vitamin D checked periodically.
